The Medical Simulation Training Center (MSTC) of MU - Plovdiv is the largest and most comprehensive training center for medical specialists in the Republic of Bulgaria and works in the following scientific fields:
• Creating hybrid simulation strategies involving multiple simulators and interdisciplinary teams.
• Models of simulation training in the context of the paradigm shift from “bed of the patient” to acquiring of higher procedural competence;
• Development of instruments for quantification of stress during the mastering of psychomotor tasks in laparoscopic surgery and endoscopy and its influence on the technique of the operators in the real life environment;
• Determining the effect of training with virtual reality simulators on the preparation of surgeons and gastroenterologists for endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreatography (ERCP);
