ANNOUNCES A COMPETITION: <\/p>\n

<\/center><\/p>\n

I. For the position of Leading Researcher in division 3.2.2: „Molecular Signatures and Cellular Metabolism in Neoplastic and Neurodegenerative Diseases“ under the Strategic Research and Innovation Program for the Development of MU \u2013 Plovdiv (SRIP-MUP), Pillar 2: Creation of a Network of Research-Oriented Higher Education Institutions, as part of the Program for Accelerating Economic Recovery and Transformation through Science and Innovation, within the „Innovative Bulgaria“ component of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. Agreement No. BG-RRP-2.004-0007-\u042103.
\nII. Requirements for the position of Lead Researcher: <\/p>\n

Professional Experience: <\/p>\n

1. Educational and qualification requirements: <\/p>\n

\u2022\tHigher education: PhD
\n\u2022\tPublication record in the field of molecular and cellular biology and immunology, with articles indexed in Scopus or Web of Science
\n\u2022\tH-index >20
\n\u2022\tProven expertise in research involving RNA sequencing and other methods for analyzing gene expression in oncological diseases<\/p>\n

2. Personal qualities and skills: <\/p>\n

\u2022\tAbility to work in a scientific team
\n\u2022\tInitiative and strong communication skills <\/p>\n

III. The competition will take place after the selection of the submitted documents and the conducting of \u0430\u0437 interview. <\/p>\n

IV. Candidates must submit in writing:
\n\u2022\tApplication;
\n\u2022\tMotivation letter;
\n\u2022\tCV;
\n\u2022\tDiplomas for educational and scientific qualifications (copies);
\n\u2022\tOther documents proving professional experience and qualifications (copies). <\/p>\n

V. The documents listed in Section IV must be submitted within 10 days from the date of the announcement’s publication.
\nSubmissions should be made to the Registry Office, Rectorate Building of MU \u2013 Plovdiv, 15A Vasil Aprilov Blvd., Plovdiv. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview. Deadline for submission: no later than 4:00 PM on December 6, 2024. <\/p>\n

Stages of the competition: <\/p>\n

1.\tReview of the candidates\u2019 documents and admission of those who meet the requirements to the procedure;
\n2.\tConducting an in-person or online interview with the admitted candidates \u2013 during the period from 11.12.2024 to 13.12.2024. Candidates will be notified separately about the exact date and time of the interview.
\n3.\tSelected specialists will be informed in writing by 20.12.2024 <\/p>\n

VI. Brief description of the Lead Researcher position, as per the job description: <\/p>\n

Primary responsibilities: <\/p>\n

Independently and collaboratively with other team members, participate in the implementation of activities under Work Packages WP1 \u2013 WP5 within Area 3.2.2, adhering to the timelines outlined in SNIIP-MUP. Responsibilities include:
\n\u2022\tParticipating in project meetings
\n\u2022\tDisseminating and communicating project results through publications and scientific forums
\n\u2022\tSupporting the professional development of other team members
\n\u2022\tMentoring young researchers and doctoral students
\n\u2022\tPerforming additional tasks within the scope of their expertise as assigned by the Management Committee, arising from the SNIIP of MU \u2013 Plovdiv during its implementation
\n\u2022\tUndertaking other activities within their competence, as assigned by the Work Group Leader\/Management Committee, as required for the successful execution of the SNIIP at MU \u2013 Plovdiv <\/p>\n

The position is offered under a civil contract for six months, distributed throughout 2025, with a a gross monthly salary of 3,000 BGN.<\/p>\n
