Assoc. Prof. Georgi Slavov, MD graduated from the Medical University of Plovdiv in 2011. He obtained his specialty in Neurology in 2017. In 2016, he was awarded the educational and scientific degree of “Doctor in medicine” after defending his dissertation on the topic: "Clinical and Laboratory Study of Serum Levels of Vitamin D and Cytokines in Patients with Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis."
Assoc. Prof. Slavov specializes and improves his scientific and practical training in the field of autoimmune diseases - multiple sclerosis, Guillain-Barré syndrome, myasthenia gravis, motor neuron diseases - amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, cerebrovascular diseases, and diseases of the peripheral nervous system. He is a member of the Bulgarian Society of Neurology, the Bulgarian Medical Association, the Union of Scientists in Plovdiv, and the Commission for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Multiple Sclerosis at the University Hospital "St. George" in Plovdiv.
Since 2013, Assoc. Prof. Slavov has been working at the Clinic of Neurology at the University Hospital "St. George" in Plovdiv and at the Medical University, Plovdiv. He is the author of more than 20 publications and numerous teaching aids for students in medicine, dental medicine, and pharmacy.
