Research interests: Main research area – Experimental and behavioural neuropsychopharmacology. Subareas – Antiepileptic drugs, neuroprotectors, models for cognitive impairment; experimental models of epilepsy; physical working capacity, aerobic training, neurotrophic factors (BDNF, NT-3); oxidative stress, neuroinflammation.
Co-author of basic textbooks and handbooks for pharmacy, medicine, and dentistry students.
Participates in the training of students in Bulgarian and English.
Author and co-author of 17 articles in journals refereed in Scopus and/or Web of Science.
