Prof. Rosen Dimov, graduated from the Medical University - Plovdiv in 1994. He acquired the specialty '' Surgery '' in 1999.

He is the author of sections in two monographs and over 50 scientific publications in Bulgaria and abroad. He is a participant and organizer of dozens of courses related to mini-invasive surgery. Principal investigator in over 10 clinical trials. Defends dissertation work related to preservation of the laryngeal nerve during thyroid surgery.

He is a professor at the Department of Special Surgery at the Medical University of Plovdiv and holds annual lectures of Bulgarian and English speaking students.

He is a Deputy Director at the Medical Simulation and Training Center at the Medical University - Plovdiv, where he conducts laparoscopic surgery workshops for students, residents and surgeons.He is currently the head of the ''Surgery'' Department at the University Hospital of Kaspela, where he performs the full range of surgical interventions known in general surgery. He is the head of the training of several residents as well as of many PhD students.

He is an active participant in numerous scientific forums in Bulgaria and abroad. He is chairman of the Plovdiv Section of '' Bulgarian Surgical Society ''. He is a member of the International Association of Surgeons and Gastroenterologists, the American Society for Neuro-Physiological Monitoring, the Bulgarian Medical Union, the Bulgarian Surgical Society, the British Association of Endocrine and Thyroid Surgeons ''.

In 2019, Prof. Rosen Dimov became a member of the Royal Society of Surgery.
