Dr. Koleva has been working since 2010 at the Department of General and Clinical Pathology, Faculty of Medicine of MU-Plovdiv as an assistant. In 2017 he defended his specialty in the discipline, and in 2020 he obtained the degree of Doctor with the topic "Eosinophilic metaplasia in the prostate epithelium: general characteristics, morphology, morphogenesis". Since 2021, she has been Chief Administrative Assistant at the Department of General and Clinical Pathology.
Since 2024, she has been a lead researcher (R4) of the research group "Optimization of Screening and Triage Strategy for Cervical Cancer for the Bulgarian Population", Program for Strategic Research and Innovation for Development at MU – Plovdiv
She participates in the teaching of students in Bulgarian and English. Co-author of textbooks and teaching aids for students of medicine, dentistry and pharmacy, both in Bulgarian and English.
Scientific interests in the field of uropathology and gastropathology, research of PD-L1 expression and immunohistochemistry
Author and co-author of more than 30 articles, 25 of which are in journals referenced in Scopus and Web of Science.
Membership in Bulgarian Medical Assocation, National Society of Pathology, European Society of Pathology.
