Research Division: Clinical and Experimental Morphology

The Clinical and Experimental Morphology Division is related to and based on the research activities of the Morphological Research Center (MIC), established in 2015 as a functional type of "open" structure, combining basic and high-tech equipment, in order to improve the quality of research studies and achieve a high scientific level of experimental and clinical-morphological research at Medical University - Plovdiv.
The focus of the department's activities is research in the field of experimental morphology and clinical pathology and is related to the application of routine and modern morphological research methods.
Priority accents in the direction are:
●pathomorphological aspects of malignant diseases (oncopathology);
●cell biology of male reproduction;
●experimental neurobiology and pharmacology;
●digitization of images in histology and histopathology for the needs of virtual microscopy.
●preparation of morphological sections of dissertations.
The team includes established researchers with extensive experience and scientific contributions in the field of clinical pathology and experimental morphology.
