Научни интереси: имунохистохимия, онкопатология, типизация на туморите, диференциална диагноза, детска патология, гинекологична патология.
Специализации: по онкопатология и имунохистохимия, практическо приложение на имунохистохимични тестове в прогресията на туморите на дебелото черво, морфогенеза и туморната прогресия при гинекологични неоплазми, диагностични и прогностични фактори при ГИСТ.

Specializations: oncopathology and immunohistochemistry, practical application of immunohistochemical tests in the progression of colon tumors, morphogenesis and tumor progression in gynecological neoplasms, diagnostic and prognostic factors in GIST.
Training of resident physicians in general and clinical pathology, member of the commission for conducting the colloquia of postgraduate students and member of the state examination commission. Supervisor of 2 successfully defended PhD students and 1 enrolled PhD student on self-study.
Currently: Professor at the Department of General and Clinical Pathology at the Medical University of Plovdiv, Deputy Dean of Project Activities and International Cooperation, Medical University – Plovdiv.
Author and co-author of 6 textbooks, 2 manuals and more than 10 teaching aids in Bulgarian and English for students of medicine, dentistry and pharmacy. Author of one monograph, author and co-author of 3 collective monographs. Lecturer for students in Bulgarian and English.
Total number of articles – 82; Total number of citations – 101. Author and co-author of more than 30 articles in peer-reviewed journals in Scopus and Web of Science.
