Prof. Belovezhdov has been working at the Department of General and Clinical Pathology at the Medical University of Plovdiv since 1995. In 2001 he acquired a specialty in pathology, and in 2010 he became an associate professor. In 2011 he graduated with a master’s degree in health management at the Medical University - Plovdiv, and since 2022 he has been a professor of pathology at the same university.
Since 2016 he has been Head of the Department of General and Clinical Pathology. He is a member of the Bulgarian Medical Association and the National Society of Pathology (he has been a member of the management since 2010). He is the author and co-author of textbooks and manuals for students and has participated in two monographs and is a co-author of over 63 publications.
