Graduated “Medicine” from Medical University of Plovdiv. Specialist in Medical Microbiology and Clinical Immunology. Postgraduate researcher at the National Institute for Medical Research, London (1992-1995). Guest-lecturer in Commenius University in Bratislava, Medical Faculty, Martin, Slovakia; and ESTeSL, Lisboa, Pоrtugal.
Leader and coordinator of national and with international funding research projects; participation in research and educational networks (GOHI, J-project, USERN).
Current participation in projects:
1. National University Complex for Biomedical and Translational Research and BBMRI– in collaboration with Division of Molecular and Regenerative Medicine, RIMU, and under the coordination of MU-Sofia. BBMRI-ERIC is an European Infrastructure for biobank.
2. Building individual and community resilience through nature-based therapies (Acronym: “RESONATE”) – in collaboration with Division “Environment and Health”, RIMU.
